Welcome to the Balcombe French Association!

Whether it’s for the food, the wine, holidays, buildings, scenery, sunshine, history, cycling, language or the people, whatever it is, if you love France, we want to know about it. We want to help and encourage the people of Balcombe to continue enjoying the things they already know and to discover a bit more of the things they don’t yet know. We are here to celebrate a relationship with our closest European neighbour.

So, what do we do?

We have a full list of events planned this year and hope you’ll come along to as many as you can. The intention of all these events is to celebrate various aspects of the French culture and where possible to continue the twinning theme that is at the roots of our association.

Some of our events are loosely connected to Bastille Day (14th July) and to Beaujolais Nouveau (third Thursday in November) while others are just opportunities to get together with like-minded people or to enjoy good food and good wine. We arrange trips to events with a French theme, for example wine tastings and local vineyards, and from time to time manage a visit across the Channel.

The committee would be glad to hear of any events, trips or talks you would like to take part in, so please give us your ideas.
